Young people
Children are welcome around St Kentigern’s.
Junior Church
We have a really exciting time in Junior Church. We start at 11.00 on Sundays when we all come into church together. Then we leave to do our own activities - they really are great fun.
Creche
We encourage families to come to St. Kentigern’s. Very young children can have a great time playing in the Creche while the service is on. There are lots of toys to play with, and we'll come though to get parents if needed, so you don't need to worry that your little ones are looked after.
Young People’s Group
We meet at 7.30 on Sundays for an action packed evening’s activities. Why not come along and join with us? There are discussions, games, quizzes and speakers - and our weekends away are great!
Through the week there are organisations for girls as well as boys. Have a look a the Girls' Brigade and Pathfinders pages for more details.
The Howard Centre - appeal for stewards
The number of young people attending GLOW under 18’s NiteClub at the Howard Centre has been steadily increasing, this brings its benefits but also increases the workload on stewards.
To keep GLOW running every Saturday we require more stewards, particularly people who have a valid First Aid qualification or are willing to be trained in First Aid. We will cover associated costs of First Aid training and general training is also provided.
Stewards will be put through an enhanced disclosure check (if they do not already have one through the Congregation or BB/GB’s) and are asked to give a minimum of one Saturday evening per month from 6.15pm to 9.00pm, attend occasional training events and be able to work with young people. This work is frequently uplifting and occasionally very trying! Please consider volunteering.
