Adult Learning

We feel that learning doesn’t stop when we leave school. We offer opportunities for adult Christian education and faith development to suit a range of stages and styles.

To help people learn more about the claims of Jesus and God’s offer of new spiritual life in Christ, we run more in-depth times of spiritual reflection and sharing  which is organised on demand.

We are blessed in this country that we can meet openly to read and discuss scripture, we have no fear of being arrested as is the case in many countries.

To that end it has been encouraging to see approximately 18 people attend our Bible Study on a Thursday evening and sharing in discussion. No pressure is put on anyone to speak but what we have experienced is that folks are happy and willing to contribute or ask pertinent questions. We are fortunate to have Tom Logan in our group and his expertise enhances our understanding of the various passages we are looking at.

Our Bible Study Group will meet over October and November on a Thursday evening beginning at 7.30pm and finishing by 9 pm. We will be looking at a Scripture Union Bible Study book with 8 studies on Forgiveness, making peace with the past.

Perhaps you haven’t been to a Bible Study before and are keen to come along but are a bit unsure. We are all friends together, learning together in a relaxed atmosphere and would be delighted to see you. The date when we will actually start will be intimated through the Order of Service. If you would like to find out more please speak to Ian Rennie.
